Embark on a musical voyage from inner space to the stars with Flight Call's debut album, HOMEWORLD (released 8.22.22).
Guided by warm, evocative vocals and buoyed by a soundscape of sparkling synths, Flight Call's ten song avant pop odyssey invites the listener beyond the duality simulation of Earth into a timeless dimension of love.
HOMEWORLD explores themes of metamorphosis, interconnectivity, liberation from social conditioning, and personal transformation.
"HOMEWORLD is a personal compilation of magic spells and secret codes, an exploded starfield of glimmering images that are helpful, healing, disarming, diaphanous, prismatic, piercing, and lyrical. Off-planet synthesizers elevate the earthbound and present vocals, taking the listener on a light-filled, avant-pop journey from inner space to outer space."
- Andrea Janda, "Vortex Music Magazine "
"Imagine a place of perfect peace and tranquility, full of light and crystalline beauty. That is the vision that singer-songwriter and performance artist Tai Woodville has conjured for Homeworld. The music has a bright, ethereal sound—celestial synths and vintage drum machines grounded by Tai’s smooth, warm vocals...thoughtful and meditative...fun and fantastic."

Flight Call is an avant-pop music project created by Portland, Oregon, singer/songwriter, performer & poet, Tai Woodville.
Tai wrote HOMEWORLD on an OP-1, mostly outside in nature. The album was written as a love letter to the soul of every dreamer.
Producer & recording engineer Johann Wagner (Sávila, DAN DAN, Orquestra Pacifica Tropical, Siren & the Sea, The Ghost Ease +) programmed an array of modular synths & vintage drum machines to recreate & expand on the instrumentation from Tai's OP-1 demo.
Flight Call is honored to feature the harp stylings of Dolphin Midwives' Sage Fisher on "A Piece of the Map" & "Chrysalis."
Flight Call is more than a music project, she is an embodied persona from the stars.
Flight Call is a timeless intergalactic being of love with a mission to circulate sound codes on Earth during this time of crisis and transition.
Tai wrote HOMEWORLD to be a vessel of her soul's voice.
Born in 1980, Tai was raised in an artistic, musical, bohemian environment. The only child of two actor parents, she grew up in Southern California, close to nature and animals, informed by the stars and the sea.
She holds a bachelor of arts in literature with a creative writing emphasis from UCSB's College of Creative Studies.

Flight Call's first single, featuring harp by Dolphin Midwives, is about how we each hold a piece of the puzzle to life's Mystery. When we each put our pieces together, a pattern begins to emerge. Played on XRAY.FM & KINK FM.
"Compass," Flight Call's third single, is an anthem for the dreamers and seekers of the world, a battle cry in the name of trusting the call of the soul.
The title track recalls our ancient ancestry of stardust, channeling the feeling of homesickness 'for a home we’ve never known' -- a longing which suggests the recollection of cosmic origins.
This song is about the emotional alchemy of turning hardship into growth—transforming pain into beauty, strength, and clarity that would not have occurred without the suffering.
When we become self-illuminating, we no longer fear the dark. The second single off the album invites the listener to feed the light within and dance with the Mystery that flows through all things.
"New Frontiers" reflects on our ability to forge a new way in a crumbling era. Acknowledging the ache, this song trusts the listener's natural self-illuminating essence to see them through the dark night of the world soul. As one age ends, another begins.
Society has trained us to look outside ourselves for answers, for confirmation of our worth, to know what is real and true. This song examines the experience of losing clarity in a world filled with distortion and illusion, encouraging the listener to look within for these resources.
Mid-metamorphosis, this song about emotional cocooning during times of transformation occupies the liminal space between the old and the new. Featuring Dolphin Midwives' Sage Fisher on harp, it quivers on the cusp of a new wingspan.
This song is about waking up to personal power and presence in a sleepwalking world. It examines the reality that society is a collection of invented constructs. When we break through the trance of our conditioning, we see the rainbow world beyond the false dichotomy of black and white thinking.
This is a self-love anthem about not hiding our light or letting it get blocked out by the fear of unworthiness. The song envisions doubt as passing clouds and the true nature of self as a sun that will burn on long after the clouds have gone.
