Embark on a musical voyage from inner space to the stars with Flight Call's debut album, HOMEWORLD (released 8.22.22).
Guided by warm, evocative vocals and buoyed by a soundscape of sparkling synths, Flight Call's ten song avant pop odyssey invites the listener beyond the duality simulation of Earth into a timeless dimension of love.
Flight Call joins Honest Jams Podcast to share songs inspired by "Compass" & discuss everything from the making of HOMEWORLD to artificial intelligence, with hosts, fellow Portland musicians, Walker & Ayal.
"A Piece of the Map"
"HOMEWORLD is a personal compilation of magic spells and secret codes, an exploded starfield of glimmering images that are helpful, healing, disarming, diaphanous, prismatic, piercing, and lyrical. Off-planet synthesizers elevate the earthbound and present vocals, taking the listener on a light-filled, avant-pop journey from inner space to outer space.
HOMEWORLD explores themes of interconnectivity, metamorphosis, liberation from social conditioning, and personal transformation.
The opening track and accompanying video for 'A Piece of the Map' delivers major Björk-feels, like an electric flower plucked off Vespertine, featuring harpist Sage Fisher of Dolphin Midwives and again on 'Chrysalis,' a sort of grown-up lullaby to the self.
- Andrea Janda, writer, Vortex Music Magazine
"Imagine a place of perfect peace and tranquility, full of light and crystalline beauty. That is the vision that singer-songwriter and performance artist Tai Woodville has conjured for Homeworld.
The music has a bright, ethereal sound—celestial synths and vintage drum machines grounded by Tai’s smooth, warm vocals. This is a light, bright, optimistic album ... thoughtful and meditative ... fun and fantastic."

Beyond the duality simulation known as Earth exists a timeless dimension of love, which we who live there consider true reality.
All beings are originally from this Homeworld outside of time. Most have forgotten their true origins. Until now.
